That said, Google can keep up with moves if it's a fairly popular post. Like, I wrote a quick rant about the differences between homeobox and hox genes and how lecturers, textbooks, science communicators etc get it wrong and mislead students. It started as a wordpress post and it was the number two result on Google for "homeobox" after the Wikipedia page. Number one for "differences between homeobox and hox". I moved that to Medium, used that link from now on, and Google now shows that one top
