For 70s rock try anything by Deep Purple but recommend as a good intro the 1980 compilation album “Deepest Purple - The Very Best of Deep Purple”.
Try Status Quo albums, especially ”Piledriver” “Hello” “Quo” “On the Level” & “Blue For You”.
Obvs anything by Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.
Emerson Lake & Palmer were a bit too “prog-rock” for me but don’t miss their 9 minute take on Aaron Copeland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man”….it’s sublime.
On the other side of the pond from England I like Lynryd Skynryd a lot.
