I honestly gave up on the idea of there ever being a GenX POTUS way back in the 90s. We've never had the numbers and were crushed under the weight of privileged white boomers who refused to mentor us and pivoted from "don't trust anyone over 30" to "don't trust anyone under 30" when I was still in my 20s. I'm kind of taken by surprise every time I'm reminded that Harris is roughly my age. I thought she was a lot younger and we'd been skipped like I always thought we would.
