As a crusty permanent #Linux newbie with a beard of minimal length, this is my advice to anyone starting out:
I keep a file called console.md (it used to be .txt) where I write down every useful app, every config file change, every tip and every useful terminal command.
I think my file is about 10 years and is a great reference. My new addition today:
- Fix flatpak apps that take a long time to load:
Delete contents of `~/.local/share/flatpak`
Reboot
`flatpak repair`
