I don’t see how this can be fixed. Social itself is the problem. You will always have abuse on either side, be it the person posting something sensitive or the person trying to take it down.
The rule (in my humble view) should maybe be: if you say something about a person, say it to their face / virtual account. Then the person can react to it, be it request to take it down or answer.
If the person is not on that social platform, then don’t. Rather spend your 8 Dollar blue checkmark on promoting free journalism. And let the journalists be your representative when it matters, and is not about attacking the average person and making their lives publicly miserable.
