I’m no lawyer and I sure as hell
Don’t want to play one anywhere… but what if there’s something to the legal precedent with the following: If memory serves, under the Citizen’s United case, Corporations, political action committees and “dark money” secured the constitutional right to “Speech” under the First Amendment, and by Speech we mean spending money (fiat, not #bitcoin)… in this case seemed to focus on a standard that independent (political) spending wouldn’t be enough to corrupt the system, so the Speech of firehosing campaign and lobbying cash is totally OK.
Seems like my independent spending of #Sats, #Zaps, or even some digital shitcoin should warrant some protection as Speech. Any constitutional lawyers on the relays? #AskNostr
