The Emirates Union organized a training workshop titled «Incubating Creative Industries» in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture at the Ajman Creative Center, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and Chairman of the Emirates Foundation. The workshop was attended by a large number of center managers and administrators, as part of their joint efforts to enhance the role of creative centers affiliated with the Ministry of Culture across the state in supporting innovation and creativity, and empowering talented individuals from the UAE, and transforming them into incubators for creative industries. These centers contribute to enabling creatives and artists, and supporting emerging companies in the cultural and artistic fields, which aligns with the national identity and the country's sustainable development vision. Yasser Al Qarqawi, General Manager of the Emirates Foundation, expressed his happiness with the collaborative efforts between the foundation and the Ministry of Culture, which focuses on supporting and nurturing Emirati individuals in various creative fields. He emphasized that the Ministry of Culture has a unique infrastructure across the state, represented by creative centers with important capacities that can help talented individuals and creatives produce knowledge and market their products as creative industries. He also highlighted the interest and care of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan in supporting talents, intellectuals, and writers, and his efforts to empower them to invest in their creations and productions, and transform them into creative industries that contribute to enhancing national identity and showcasing its cultural features locally and globally. Al Qarqawi added that the workshop focused on exploring the best global practices and sharing successful models in the field of creative incubators. On the other hand, Dr. Mona Al Sweidi, Program and Project Advisor at the Ministry of Culture, said: «Enabling creatives and providing them with a supportive environment reflects our unwavering commitment to building a cohesive society that takes pride in its history, and draws inspiration from its values and culture to shape a prosperous future, through launching programs to empower and support talented individuals, and organizing specialized workshops and effective partnerships, which work to enhance the skills of creatives».
