It's the way Math is taught. I excelled in English because I had great teachers. Math, not so much... until I had one teacher in college that performed a miracle a light bulb went off. My 2nd grade teacher was a nun who was horrible. She instructed us to skip the problems we didn't know. Very bad lesson for a children.
