I think there is more of a growing focus on this complaint and the solutions to it at least. It felt like it's been ignored and glaringly obvious for so long. Rabble's talk might've helped or something ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. And good to see some clients are approaching it, eg the onboarding wizard in nostrdit.
Topic -based clients and community focus will help I assume. I'm totally confused by relays but I will take your word for it:)
I think a lot of it depends on what Damus and Amethyst implement, atm at least(?)
