spent a lot of time today working on the nitter trying to handle chinese botnets scraping while allowing legitimate traffic. ive done all i think i can do for now. we might have another round of guest account tokens after 14-Feb-2024 but I'm not hopeful. there hasn't been much progress for nitter but I'm considering using some bitcoin and picking up a couple hundred actual accounts on the cheap from buyaccs and writing a python script or similar to generate user tokens from that. would probably make it oauth and force users to login with a poast account but it could work. also open to suggestions since the dev seems to be checked out
glad to have got it back in the green though. cant wait to wake up in 4 hours and it's all orange again because the chinks deployed new residential proxies
fucked around a bit with the nitter again, should load faster since there was more people scraping. will get the invidious done tonight. just waiting on hardware
