This week I've been mainly reading, no. 173.
Marie Brennan's sci-fi/fantasy novel Driftwood (2020) relates a story of assumed divinity in a place where worlds that have suffered an apocalypse go to die in a final swirling of destruction. The people of driftwood live in & navigate a space of change & destruction and are often guided by the one the call 'Last'. Its concise & an interestingly imagined fable, that while sketchy at times is also engaging.
