So at any step in your design you can define distances, angles, etc. to earlier elements. That's basically all SolveSpace does: Constraints and some operations bringing 2D to 3D.

And its simplistic design with a simple text-based property browser is brutally efficient, both from a usage perspective and I guess in the code as well.
