The outage lasted from 11:00 to 18:03. A little over 7 hours.

> To provide a buffer of time for engineering analysis and rectification of faults, the system has been designed to store 4 hours of flight plans to allow continuous operation while faults are diagnosed and resolved.

A faster fix would have helped - as would a larger buffer.

Obviously there is lots of software testing going on, and lots of training to prevent this incident from happening again.
