That's not my point. My point is that those non-power users will gravitate to the Mycelium, which is so much like Twitter that the resemblance is uncanny (albeit with a dark user interface by default). And, for power users, the Mycelium has a TweetDeck workalike called deck.blue. The tech community, meanwhile, has the existing Fediverse and the whole existing ecosystem that uses it as a substrate (for example, Tusky, which I'm using right now to tap out my comment). And of course, some users will remain on X, in spite of the Elongated Muskrat being determined to run it into the ground as fast as possible.

Meanwhile, the only thing my Threads is full of is e-girls and quote-unquote influencers advertising their OnlyFans. To top it off, Zuck is the wanker who rules over the whole kingdom of wankers; he's even more of a wanker than master wanker Elon Musk.

And a social media site can't survive on OnlyFans "models" (haha) and dad joke reposters alone. In other words, it is destined for failure. And if it does, I'll be inwardly cheering for its untimely death, but also sad that it took this long–like that annoying uncle with terminal cancer to whom you want to give the pillow treatment, but forbear for fear of being charged with quote-unquote murder.
