This has me in tears. Two years ago we were there for Dad. He wanted to go, but we (our care system) wouldn't let him. We'd wait hours for people to show up (out of hours and after their shifts) to give him his morphine. He was in agony, barely able to intonate "just let me go".
For god's sake let's just be allowed to treat people as well as we treat pets.
