I've long been a skeptic of the whole affair--finding it nearly impossible to teach unless the student has already written an operating system and finding the purported "benefits" of it to be skant at best.
There are certain problems that are naturally "async", but it's better to address that directly than with a bunch of async/await syntactic sugar.
