With federated forges becoming more viable, it might be time to think about leaving GitHub. In addition to having your code fed into an LLM under shaky legal pretense, and being owned by literally one of the most evil corporations in tech, using GitHub might soon become a barrier to contributions. I certainly want to avoid using it as much as possible, and I'm not alone.
