nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpqz84r2svc8723w2tcs6ujvcuzpxd837h2eenklf56tjqlfxpse6ds4fy4h5 (nprofile…y4h5) 😆 MOOCs were one of the finest technoacademic boondoggles i've witnessed and been a part of in the past 30 years. i wrote/co-produced a game studies mooc for my former institution in 2012, and it was wonderful watching the disaster unfold in realtime. the university's only interest in it was high enrolment at zero cost, and the project director's only interest in it was making a name for himself in the gaming world.
the end product was so incredibly bad in quality that the university ended up closing it to non-students because they were afraid it would tarnish the institution's reputation 🤣
