It seems like it should be possible to make a Thunderbolt 4 switch that is impossibly simple inside, costs barely more than two Thunderbolt 4 cables, and lets you connect a USB-C or Thunderbolt display to two computers but only use it with one of them at once.
While I'm fantasizing about devices, I'd also like a combo 2 port ethernet switch/ USB-C hub that could keep the two computers powered and networked regardless of which was active on the aforementioned switch, with a minimum of wires.
