Here it is all the nostr hoopers been waiting for it. My Caitlin Clark scouting report. I want to start of by saying that Caitlin Clark is the perfect women's basketball player for the current meta of the game. If any player male or female try to downplay her skills I beg you to reconsider. I'm going to be comparing her play style and skill level to male players as those are more commonly known. We mostly understand her shooting touch with the Curry comparisons but I'll come to that later. I believe the skills that stand out the most with her is her passing and foot speed. As far as these two aspects of her play style it's safe to say that she has moments of similar play to manu ginobili -minus the euro2step. Another player her outlet passes will remind you of is kevin love. Her push ahead passes with a live dribble bring back flashes of the suns Steve Nash. Yet, she also has the ability to "play dead" and calmy just make the open pass similar to the aussie Joe ingels. Some let's touch on these comparisons. Manu and joe both have unique pick and roll style that she could do but her teammates can't handle but her passing has a rare zip. The last time I saw a player pass with so much force if draymond green. Now she in very high level passing. But we can't spend all day talking about her passing because she really made a name for her self shooting. Her shooting reminds me of the time Eddie house was cooking skip to my lu so bad he had to slap him. The best part of her shooting is she comes around the off ball screen determined to shoot like she can't dribble ala Kyle korver. But that's when the female Stephen Curry makes sense because she can dribble. Ontop of all that she has the baby rockets harden step back jeez this is getting crazy becuase She even has the ability to snake dribble to the defense in "jail" for trying to play from behind. Her finishes are efficient and not flashy this is not uncommon in the women's game but they way she mixes all these together is one of a kind. I don't want to throw shade but I would say fundamentally her game is more complete then Tre Young's BC she actually pushes the ball ahead early and avoids over dribbling and she can give the ball up and run off of screen with a purpose.
