It's not the client router setting. It's the channel you are on. So there is long slow, long fast, short fast, etc. And you want long fast, which is the default or long slow. Keep in mind, if there are other devices around you, then you will need to be on the same channel they are. So if your area is full of nodes that are on long fast, you will also want to be on long fast, because if you are on, say, long slow, you will not be able to communicate with them.
