An elder confused and ask for help because a Microsoft Edge browser displaying a full page of 'fake scam virus' site.

When OP investigates, he found if the elder was scrolling news through Windows News bar. Default browser is still Mozilla Firefox but Windows ignores that and open the link through Microsoft Edge and somehow malicious advertising popped-up (and the elder may click/misclicked, assumed its was safe).
