I'm noticing this after being around youngsters at uni. Most are lovely, but utterly terrified of saying the wrong thing. They should be engaging in lively debate and taking the piss. Even their writing's safe. It's so risk averse, it's just sad. It's a shame, because a couple are pretty talented, but fearful of writing anything 'triggering'
