Continuing: the topic was about Chromebooks displacing Windows’ marketshare, not anything implied of that trend being on any merit, just that it was displacing it and Microsoft continuing to self-sabotage their own product. There was the remark that ironically it’s an easier chance to turn an Intel Chromebook into a system with coreboot than any other Intel ISA hardware (versus digging for like +8 year-old motherboards, etc), and not even regarding anything to do with ChromeOS. But then you shove a non-sequiter of ARM Chromebooks about “why” people prefer Thinkpads, when I don’t think there’s people out there vying for ARM Thinkpads (if they even exist), and while it contests nothing about the Intel ISA Chromebooks, that’s all.
