A poll: how should moderation deal with ban evasion? Just asking out of curiosity, I'm not on any moderation or policy team.
The scenario: X blocks Y for any reason (and doesn't report them). Afterwards, Y uses a second account Z to mention X, and X reports this as ban evasion. What should the moderators do?
Legend:
X — the victim
Y — the original account blocked by X
Z — a second account, also operated by Y
By "deliberate" ban evasion, I mean the scenario where it's clear that Z has been knowingly used to evade the ban. Conversely, "non-deliberate" would be e.g. when Y and Z are both used for some time, and Z replies to a public post without realizing that Y has been banned.
