Sometimes that's how they get into my work in the first place.
*tries to think of a story that would fit last night's dream creation, a crocodile who was shoved through what the hero thought was an annihilation field, but was actually a chrono-evolution field, and now I have a sentient crocodile, walking upright, and asking me to call him Gavin, honestly, what's with these thoughtless heroes?*
