Finished Beyond Citadel earlier, solid FPS. Really enjoyed how, as the game went on in hard difficulty, my movement options made up for the increase of challenges offered by stages, enemies, and weapon durability (powerful weapons degrade extremely quickly).
Fucked up on a stage where I was meant to use the tank the whole time, and ended up having to strafe around strong, large enemies all grouped together with an arsenal constantly shrinking as weapons broke and ammo was lost. Took quite a while to power though, but it was really enjoyable to slowly gain more ground.
Only real complaints are in the confusingly short ending (it doesn't even roll credits, which made me think I skipped something) and how the upgrades work. Upgrades don't really increase versatility for the most part, just make the Martyr more powerful. Leads to a late game where death loses all consequence in the very unlikely situation that you do die, as if you've gotten everything, you'll be sitting on far too many lives and a massive health pool with very strong armor. Meanwhile your guns will break long before you do, leaving you massively unarmed. Fun a few times, not so much on every late game stage. Also water maze sucks, easily the worst stage in the game.
Final statement, I enjoyed the needless references in EX stages and the Inn Master's dialogue. The EX stages had no reason to be mostly eroge and streamers, but it's amusing. Meanwhile the Inn Master has around 50ish pieces of dialogue so far, and it's half and half between jokes about the game and actual lore.
