Completely agree its a total over reach and shitshow. Just want to understand the perceived need the government has.
Also one minor chink in their approach maybe that they are utterly shit at technology projects so they will most likely fuck it up one way or another.
Look at the carcrash even the ASX had with their chess replatforming project, and they aren't quite as shit as government at IT.
