He had wanted the name to be after his favourite type of apple, the McIntosh, but was changed due to legal reasons.\n \nHoused in a beige case with an integrated carrying handle, a keyboard and single-button mouse, it was the first successful mass-market computer and played a pivotal role in general office function.
