Looks like McKinsey have been caught playing both ends to the middle; FT is reporting that China's political economic developmental trajectory in the last decade was heavily influenced by work carried by the Urban China Initiative.

McKinsey now deny any involvement but FT cites a range of engagement between the UCI & McKinsey that seem to contradict the latter's account.
