I inherited a pile of 45 rpm singles (vinyl records) awhile ago that sat pretty much undisturbed since the 1960s.
My in-laws salvaged them from an attic when their employer died in the late 1980s, and then they sat in their own attic for another 35 years.
In a nice bit of poetry, there were exactly 45 of them.
