According to Newsmax Biden has already agreed to end his reelection bid as early as this weekend, with potential replacements being Kamala, Newsom, and Whitmer.

While this does speak to democratic fears of running Biden against Trump, I also suspect it speaks to something that potentially happened recently behind the scenes. Biden has gotten considerably worse recently, it's possible that he had a stroke or some other health condition that they are trying to keep under wraps.
