My prediction for the future is that XBox and Playstation console gaming will decline and be replaced with Steam Deck-esque computer handhelds. I think Sony started putting things on Steam as a very early indicator/investment in this kind of change. Like, I think obviously a company will want their software to be exclusive to their own hardware if it's at all possible, so going non-exclusive is in my eyes a big deal that speaks to how they expect the future will play out.
