Adam Greenfield on Nostr: I remember reading some “Highlights”-esque magazine in a dentist’s waiting room ...
I remember reading some “Highlights”-esque magazine in a dentist’s waiting room circa 1980, which in retrospect was clearly paranoid Evangelical propaganda. The main story in the issue I read was a grim, proto-“War on Christmas” dystopia, in which the godless comm’nists had decreed a holiday called Krizmuz at the winter solstice, and all mention of Baby Jesus was punishable by years at hard labor or whatever. From our filthy librul household to yours, then: Merry Krizmuz, everyone!
