"content": "First, they aren't all generated by renewables. The US is much closer to 25% renewables than 100% (and I'm sure that is true for Virginia, but don't have the data handy).\n\nSecond, renewable energy still has massive environmental costs. Mining the materials (especially for solar) and replacement/disposal (like wind turbine blades) have real costs.
