Inkscape absolutely saved the day when doing artwork for my Collage album. Nettie went through hundreds of old photo prints and from them hand drew an old style photo collage design. Lots of angles and rotations etc. The original prints were massively varying in size though so couldn't make a physical thing to scan. I took all the original image files into GIMP to resize, rotate etc and built up a (seriously!) multi layer file. I needed to keep everything editable so Nettie could see
