My reason for hosting code on GitHub is that GitHub cannot censor my code, nor has incentives to do so.
Git code *hosting* might be centralized but because the repo is usually checked out on multiple machines and because it is easy to spin up a new git server, this is not a problem as I see it.
The problematic part is the siloed nature of the social aspect of git.
This is another case where the buzzwords of "decentralization" and "censorship resistance" are emphasized, while the real value lies in creating products that have not been possible without nostr so far, in my opinion. The market will prove me right or wrong.
Also, I would be surprised if moralizing insinuations on this issue would help your case.
If [Tornado Cash](https://github.com/tornadocash) hasn't been removed from GitHub, do you think our nostr projects are in danger? And even then as I said, the code is backed up and can be easily hosted someplace else if taken down.
Show me how I am wrong, and I will use your service.
