It’s easy to say that few people care as a man but as a woman I know pretty much everyone cares and it’s unfathomably self destructive and all consuming, and reflects a deep seated neuroses that I, and pretty much all women share, which is that we can’t be comfortable with our naked selves and have to constantly render ourselves a consumable portrait in order to have value in society. This is absolutely unequivocally true and literally evil.
