You are the first person to introduce me to Teochew! I had to read about that culture after you mentioned it, and found how it is distinct from other nearby cultures. Many white/euro people around the world have a pretty shallow understanding, outside basic geography (if that) of asia, africa, etc, but they certainly have no trouble while their masters start wars all over there...
