Within two days we explored the really pretty, historically significant town of Veliko Tarnovo. Then we cycled over the hill to a train station, from where we took the train to Ruse, a northern border town. In the city park, we had a late and long lunch break. Randomly we met a young solo cyclist from Norway, on his way to Singapore. Such encounters are always great! We talked quite a while together until it was already late and we had to say good bye. We set off via the 'Friendship Bridge' over the river Danube to Romania. In the Romanian border town, we boarded the next train and let ourselves be carried about two days pedaling further inland.
