The gutting of TVNZ continues with the 1News website set to be kiboshed next February. It's weird that TVNZ management decide to can a busy news site at the same time as hyping their "Digital+ strategy".

Another change will be "Creating a centre for excellence for data, analytics and AI".

AI??? They've really fallen for the hype like many other suckers. Spicy autocorrect will not replace journalists.

I miss real public service television.
