One thing I haven't mentioned about the joys of self hosting and streaming is the folks who participate in the chat. We've solar punks, musicians, DJs and tech wizards who help each other out with their depth of knowledge. This is wonderful and much more useful than the culture of snarky comments on YouTube. The more folks who take the step and build their own internets, the better it will be for everyone. We're bringing back the niche interest web.
