Hm... apparently not an ActivityPub thing. It's using nostr... which is yet another protocol I hadn't come across so far, afaik. Dunno how compatible it is with the fediverse, if at all. Looks like someone wanted Mastodon to be different, and therefore rebuilt is differently.
