I hope that mum apologised to the kid and had a good, common sense talk with her as soon as they were out of the TIFs earshot. I can't really blame her for not wanting to explain the situation in front of the kid, cos we've all seen the videos of how troons respond to public misgendering. But if she carried on the pretence after the incident, that would be unforgivable.
