I’m watching the new last episode of the Psychonauts 2 documentary, and people are talking about cultural expectations around crunch, and I’m reminded of my first job out of college (working on a game you’ve played).
My second week on the job, I was told that even though I had literally zero work to do, I would need to work the weekend, because everyone else was. I just… didn’t. I thankfully never got in trouble, but that was very weird vibes.
