Took another step today to extract myself from surveillance. I have a Kobo e-reader which is a great device, but like all things, relies on the cloud and sends all kinds of analytics to a giant corporation. That being said, DRM free epubs can be side loaded easily. 1. Factory Reset. 2. Use a fake email to "register" your device. 3. Turn off WiFi. 4. Side load your epubs via USB from your computer. 5. Never turn on WiFi again. #surveillance #SurveillanceCapitalism #OptOut
