i had an odd experience just now in which i saw a disgusting image, was repulsed, then read that it was an art piece, and now i'm OK with it and even mildly intrigued. this all happened unconsciously, but i noticed it quickly after the switch was flipped. isn't that strange? how a little label changes the perception of things? i don't know what to make of it. there's some deep-rooted conceptual semantics that alter perception of visual matter going on in the human mind.
