While floods continue to threaten Vermont and the northeast USA, record heat reaches the Arctic Circle. Wildfires are causing evacuations in British Columbia. Rain in the east has helped dampen some of the Canadian wildfires in the east. However if intense heat returns, the relief could be temporary.
