Sounds as if U are in really good shape, weight for strength. One arm pushup is very difficult.
I also tried the one arm chinup pullup. But I have the same problem, I get too much pain from overloading my joints. And I need my wrists for my work in construction.
What got me thinking is that I was doing regular pushups for a year and then I just started with some triceps, rope grip cable push down and French press.
My strength level grew surprisingly fast and so did my triceps.
