Getting back into #chess lately, slowly working my way back to the level I was 30 years ago when last playing semi-seriously and before I got more deeply into music.

Mulling over the unnecessarily hostile and competitive nature of some people in the #jazz world, and also the crossover between chess and music (abstract pattern recognition ftw!) it occurred to me that ELO ratings for jazz musicians could be a thing.

Possibly the very worst idea I have ever had.
